Nut and Fruit Bites ( Lara Bar DIY )

Protein snack bites made from nuts and dried fruit.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups nut assortment of walnuts, pecans, and hazelnuts ( can use any nut to your liking )
  • 5 - 6 pieces of dates
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 dried fig (optional)
  • 1/8 cup goji berries (optional)
  • 2 - 3 pieces of dried mango (optional)

Method
 

  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend for about 1 - 2 minutes. Do not over-blend as it will release too much of the oils from the nuts.
  2. Pour into molds and press down to form shapes. You can also roll them into balls, make sure to press the mixture as it can be crumbly.
  3. Store into an air-tight container and good for 5 days at room temperature.
